AMSTERDAM | MUSEUMSPLEIN
When looking for a place to dine in Amsterdam, it’s always a hassle to decide which one of the million options to take. The trick is to settle on the type of food first, and then determine the area. If it is a world class steak you are looking for, and can’t be asked to walk far away from the city centre, Café Loetje is where you wanna head. As a special cherry on the cake, you don’t even have to expect a large bill. In the summer months, the terrace is calm and big enough, inside you’ll get a modern but cosy atmosphere - thankfully without the usual cowhide blankets and fake cattle heads. And the steak - oh boy, how tender.
Location: Johannes Vermeerstraat 52, Amsterdam, NL
In the third part of our video series ‘Around the world ticket’, we are heading back to West Oz, where this time Taj Burrow is giving us some sweet summer snapshots. Just as in his video “Day Dreaming” there is a high emphasis on the leaned back music that we all know from rooftop chillout sessions. Enjoy.

Here is a treat for your next weekend trip to Paris: ‘Metro Paris Subway’ is the best travel guide for the city of love, we know so far. This iPhone App always provides the very latest official subway map. Not for nothing it is recommended by the Financial Times. Don’t get lost, mecs!
Obscure. Dark. Paranoid. But still the good old Cudi sound: “No One Believes Me”. The song is part of the sound track for the remake of “Fright Nights”, in cinemas soon.
The Hill-Side has blown us away. This US fashion label has just released a lookbook, made without any great means, that is so much the way we like it - we couldn’t help but browse through it, no sh**, eight times. Take a good hard look!

Eric Singer really puts recycling on a whole new level. The people I know would throw their skateboards deep down in the trash after they break them on a session. Not so Eric. He collects the pieces, carves them into fancy shades, names the business Shwood and makes more than a living out of it. Cudos for that.

What a Beauty! “Lost Atlas” by Kai Neville is one of the few surf movies that hit big screen at Huntington Beach. The film is packed with poetry, outrageously crispy music and the imagery world of one beautiful surf trip. You should so not miss that.

The new album „Watch the Throne“ has been created by the rarely odd alliance of Jay-Z and Kanye West. Therefore this release is tough discussed and has no easy standing in the Hip Hop world. Against all rumours it is definitely worth a listen-in. Form your own opinion. Some like it, some don’t. We at least like it half and half.
